What is an impairment Rating Evaluation?
You had an at-work injury, in an accident, or are impaired by a long-term illness. Now, you just found out that you are required to complete an IRE.
What is an Impairment Rating Evaluation?
An IRE answers questions. The results help those who have to work through a complex legal or insurance claim, including a disability claim. The results from an impairment rating evaluation will show the following:
- On a scale of 0-100%, what is your disability level
- Are you permanently disabled, or is the disability temporary
- Is the disability partial or total
What to Expect at The Therapy Network
By law, an impairment rating evaluation is completed by either a physician or a trained physical therapist. The professional must follow the latest edition of the American Medical Association’s Guidelines for a disability rating.
The evaluation is an independent medical exam performed by a professional not associated with your current case or claim.
The Therapy Network has Each locations in the Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake, & Virginia. Our team of professional physical therapists will follow national guidelines while performing the IRE.
